Amadeus Reports Strong Numbers for First Half of 2015

Amadeus IT Holding, S.A., reported its financial and operating results for the first six months of 2015 on Friday. The travel technology provider reported increases in several key performance metrics, compared to the first half of 2014, including adjusted profit (up 10.3 percent to €419.6 million), revenue (up 14.2 percent to €1.97 billion).
Air bookings were high for Amadeus for the first half of 2015. According to the report, air travel agency bookings via Amadeus increased by 10 percent, compared to the same period last year. That’s in comparison to a 4.9 percent increase across the industry. During the first half, renewals or signings of content agreements were reached with 17 full-service airlines (including Czech Airlines) and two low-cost carriers (including Interjet).
